Bearing Condition Monitoring (BCMv2)
Bearing Condition Monitoring System version 2.0 (BCMv2)

The Thordon Bearing Condition Monitoring (BCMv2) system supports the Classification Societies’ requirements for condition monitoring of marine vessel bearing wear inspection.  The Thordon BCMv2 system provides a one-touch, remote indication of current bearing clearance.  The measurement is displayed on the control panel located in the vessel.

MINIMIZE DOWNTIME & INCREASE CONVENIENCE WITH REAL TIME DATA

Thordon’s BCMv2 system delivers real-time information, providing vessel engineering staff with remote indication of bearing clearances. Vessels can avoid unnecessary downtime by getting instant and accurate information on the propeller shaft bearings’ performance, improving the ability to better manage your fleet.

Reduce Cost

Reduce Cost of Ownership

The BCMv2 eliminates the frequency of sending divers to take poker gauge readings.
Hiring a diver is costly, the vessel must be alongside a dock or idle and the weather conditions must be favourable in order to get a reading.

Improve

Improve Vessel Availability

Our system provides an easy to use, one touch, remote reading of current bearing clearance, where
measurements are displayed on the control panel conveniently located in the vessel eliminating
downtime and keeping your vessel at work.

Requirements

Wear Monitoring Ensures Compliance with Class Requirements

The BCMv2 meets all class society requirements for wear monitoring including DNV-GL TMON that requires readings every 1000 hours of operation.
