Forestry and Pulp & Paper Bearings

The forestry and pulp and paper industry are conducive to harsh environments for greased bushings, producing a lot of dust and heat causing traditional bushings to frequently fail. This is not the case with Thordon polymer bearings. As an ideal replacement for greased bushings and roller bearings, Thordon grease free bushings can be found in numerous forestry and pulp & paper applications, including dewatering machines, lumbing sorting equipment and de-barking drums to name a few. Thordon bearings are a proven solution that increases the mean time between failures (MTBF), and as a result will significantly reduce maintenance costs and down time.

Use the Material Selection Guides below to determine which Thordon bearing grade is best for your application.

  • Eliminate grease & associated maintenance costs
  • Improved vibration /shock absorption
  • Improved reliability - reduced downtime costs
  • High abrasion resistance
